Plata Energy | The Americas Oil & Gas Specialists

Plata Energy welcomed Senator Gustavo Leite of Paraguay to its Houston headquarters at Williams Tower for a working meeting focused on the future of Paraguay’s oil and gas sector and the broader opportunities emerging across the region.

Senator Leite met with Max Torres, Founder and Managing Partner of Plata Energy; Miguel Zabala-Bishop, Founder & CEO of IGEF Global; and Diego Díaz Baldasso, Senior Partner of Plata Energy. The conversation explored Paraguay’s opportunity to broaden its energy matrix, strengthen energy security, and leverage the responsible development of its natural resources to support sustained economic growth.

The discussion reflected a shared conviction: transforming natural-resource potential into sustainable development requires bringing together government, industry, investment, technology, and world-class expertise. Plata Energy and IGEF are committed to helping build those bridges across the Americas—connecting resources and opportunities with the companies, investors, technical capabilities, and leadership required to turn potential into executable projects.

Senator Leite brought a strong focus on moving from ideas to action and on openly discussing with the Paraguayan people both the opportunities and challenges associated with the country’s future energy development.

For Plata Energy, this type of dialogue is central to its role as The Americas Oil & Gas Specialists. From Houston, the firm advises operators, investors, government agencies, and national oil companies across the technical, commercial, and organizational dimensions of the oil and gas business. Plata Energy’s senior consulting partners bring together more than five centuries of combined experience across leading energy companies, government, academia, and consulting, providing the technical depth, executive experience, and regional perspective needed to transform energy opportunities into executable projects.

Plata Energy thanks Senator Leite for his visit and looks forward with optimism to Paraguay’s next chapter of energy development—and to continuing to connect expertise, investment, and opportunity throughout the region.

From Houston to the Americas.
